A single mass flywheel can be skimmed, a dual mass cannot, and anybody offering to is skimming the friction face of a worn assembly\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSolid conversion: available, and it is noisier at idle. It cannot be machined, it wears internally, and a new clutch bolted to a worn one will judder within weeks and put the gearbox back out at your expense.
