Getting the right part is the whole job. Many BMW and MINI models changed specification part way through production, sometimes more than once in a model year, so two cars that look identical can need different parts.
How we check
Send us the last seven characters of your VIN. You can put them in the order notes at checkout, or email them to info@atautoparts.co.uk with your order number. We check the part against your car's build record before anything is dispatched. If it is not right, we contact you before sending anything.
Where to find your VIN
- On your V5C registration document, in the box marked E.
- At the bottom of the windscreen on the passenger side.
- On a plate in the engine bay or on the door pillar.
Part numbers
Where a listing covers several build variants, we do not print a single part number against it, because that is how people order the wrong part. We cross reference the original equipment number for your VIN and confirm it before dispatch.
Coding
Some modules need coding to the car before they work. The listing says whether a part needs coding, whether it arrives already coded to your VIN, or whether it works straight away.
