This notice explains how AT AUTO & SPARES LTD, trading as Bavarian Spares, collects and uses your personal data. We are the data controller for the information you give us through bavarianspares.com.
What we collect
- Your name, email, telephone number and delivery and billing addresses.
- Your vehicle details, such as the VIN or registration, where you give them to check fitment.
- Your order history and any messages you send us.
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies.
Card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored by us.
How we use it
- To process and deliver your order and to check that parts fit your vehicle. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To handle returns, warranty claims and questions. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep records for tax and accounting. This is a legal obligation.
- To send marketing emails, only if you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve the website and prevent fraud. This is in our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
We share your data only with the companies that help us run the business: our e-commerce platform Shopify, payment providers, couriers and delivery partners, and our accountants. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, under safeguards approved by UK law. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for six years to meet tax law. If you have an account, we keep it until you ask us to close it. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred.
